NDT RESULTS

The test results for a plant vessel with a dual layer refractory lining with various conditions are presented. The wall of the vessel has two types of defect, one with shell only and the other with a voided section, ie the 2nd layer is in place but a large gap (~100mm) between the two layers. A view of the damaged area inside the vessel is shown in Figure 1 and Figure 2. The baseline is taken from the vessel with a known good condition.
